Enter The Year of The Dragon

I’d been planning on finishing this Enter the Dragon tribute piece for the beginning of 2012 but one thing lead to another and I got too busy. So then I thought I’d get it done in time for Seattle’s Emerald City Con in March, which happens a few weeks from now. Good plan, right? Welp I changed course again last week when I heard that Jim Kelly who played Williams in Enter The Dragon was going to be at Wondercon in Anaheim. So I stayed up all night before I had to make the drive to So Cal and finished the piece. I was tired and wasn’t sure if I had made a good decision staying up that night to finish it. As it turns out, not only was it a good decision, it was a GREAT decision! Because not only was Jim Kelly there but so was Bob Wall (O’Hara) and the unannounced John frickin’ Saxon (Roper)! All of them were sitting side by side! And I also managed to sell out of these prints at the show!

Thanks to a fella named Joaquin who came by my table and just happened to know Jim, I got the chance to meet them and give them all a copy of my print. They were super cool guys and also signed one for me as well! Mission accomplished! Now all I gotta do is find Bolo! Extra special thanks to Jim Kelly, John Saxon and his wife and my new buddy Joaquin, you guys made my weekend at Wondercon! Long live the spirit of Bruce Lee!
